Russ RussI bought this product to get used to Collins FPD bank indicator with Skypointer (in jets). In the screen shots, the aircraft symbol is banking left while Skypointer is pointing in the opposite direction (up), which is what it should be doing. However, in the actual app, there is no Skypointer. Instead, there is a conventional GA bank indicator which points in the direction of bank. False advertising! Waste of money!

App doesn't save settings App doesn't save settingsUnfortunately, for those of us who live in the United States of America where we measure in feet and knots, this app is useless. No matter where or how many times you change the default, metric-centric display to English units, it changes back to metric everytime...after an "auto lock", after a reset, after running another app. EVERY TIME. If you were ever using this app in any sort of a real life situation (which you are admonished not to, but someone will anyway), this change of units will kill you. I repeat, kill you! This app could kill you because of this stupid little bug. I wish I had read my own review before I bought it. The author has been of no help in getting it fixed, either. And no refund for me. I did give it two stars because yes, the "HUD" function works and it does a good job of tracking attitude, etc., but the fact that you can't change to english units and save the settings boggles the mind.

Don't Waste Your Money Don't Waste Your MoneyThis program is pretty useless if you are looking for a lower cost alternative to, for example, WingX or ForeFlight. To begin, none of the program setups in my iPad's Settings window are actually read and acted on when the program boots. No matter what I do, it always comes up in metric units even though I set it for feet and mph. The map in the EFIS PFD display is useless. Each time you bring up the program you have to set up the map and the only way it will find any airports is if it has an internet connection. Even then, very few airports other than those in Class C airspace or better are even shown. There is no way to cache, for example, a sectional. Pretty useless when you are at a strange airport, with no internet connectivity, and you would want to plot a new route. The images above don't correspond with the version downloaded to my iPad in that both the map and HSI come up at the bottom, centered, right over the pitch indicator! It would be nice if there was a way to move them as displayed above but I certainly cannot find it. Also, it appears that the full screen nav function does not talk to the map function in the EFIS_PFD part of the program. None of the routing information is retained between the two. While the PFD might be useful as a last ditch backup display, if you needed it while in the air because everything else failed, you're probably having a really bad day and this program won't make it much better.. This s a toy, it should only be advertised as such and nothing else.
