One City - Many Perspectives
Wrzesnia Collection is a one of a kind project dedicated to Wrzesnia, a city situated in central Poland. Every year a different famous photographer is invited here by the mayor in order to register the present state of the city and its inhabitants.
In 2009, the Collection was inaugurated by Bogdan Konopka, a Polish photographer residing in Paris. The following artists were Andrzej Jerzy Lech, who has been living in New Jersey for years, and Mariusz Forecki from Poznań, Poland.

The project’s custodian is Waldemar Śliwczyński the editor in-chief of Kwartalnik Fotografia (Pl.: ‘photography quarterly’, a leading Polish magazine devoted to artistic photography).

Jedno miasto, różne spojrzenia.
"Kolekcja Wrzesińska" to szczególny projekt, którego tematem jest jedno miasto – Września (woj. wielkopolskie). Co roku zapraszany jest tutaj, uznany w środowisku fotograf, który ma na swój sposób zarejestrować "aktualny stan" miasta i jego mieszkańców.
W roku 2009 cykl otworzył polski fotograf mieszkający na stałe w Paryżu Bogdan Konopka. Następnymi są Andrzej Jerzy Lech mieszkający w New Jersey oraz Mariusz Forecki z Poznania.
Jest to wyjątkowe przedsięwzięcie nie tylko o charakterze dokumentacyjnym, ale również artystycznym. Trzech polskich fotografów żyjących w różnych krajach i trzy zupełnie inne spojrzenia na ten sam temat.
Projekt jest unikatowym przedsięwzięciem w europejskiej fotografii. Te trzy albumy to szczególna lektura dla wszystkich, którzy interesują się sztuką fotografii.
Patronem kolekcji jest Waldemar Śliwczyński, redaktor naczelny Kwartalnika FOTOGRAFIA.
