  • Not bad, but interface improvements needed!
We should be able to swipe to the left to delete a recording. There should be a standard Edit button allowing us to select a bunch of recordings to delete all at once. (Down the road, a Pro version, for $, could add folders.) If we pick the trash can, there should be a Cancel button, not just an OK button! Interface 101! Info should bring up within-app info, not go to iTunes. It would help to know whether changing the recording quality setting has any impact on the volume! Tapping a recording should start playing it. It shouldn't be a two-tap process. Use a different symbol other than the Mac folder, more below, right triangle! Give us an option to turn off the times-- if we record something in the middle of the night, we may not want to know what time it is or was! Volume seems low. In general, though, nicely done. Now, let's see if it can pick up the catbirds signing outside my window!

  • Sound good, interface has problems
I was looking for something akin to the Voice record app from Apple that used to come standard on iPhones. This has good volume, but there's no *stop* button! You have to use Done in the upper right. Then, good luck finding your previously recorded memos. Why would anyone think to tap the name of the app? And, if you happened to have entered settings, you won't find them right away, either! The ads are center screen making the app a distraction to use. Hey, lose the ads--if we like the product and use it regularly we'll buy the Pro version! One good thing for sure -- this beats Quick Voice, another app I tried whose volume is a whisper!

  • Some problems... Visually distracting. Ads.
Ads! They are a nuisance. Why are there any, given that the app has additional levels that are locked and require $? The jiggling, dancing page elements--and star flashes--are a distraction, and there's no option to turn them off. I was looking for an app where I could enter a puzzle I found--and have the app help me solve it by showing which numbers were available. This app doesn't seem to have the ability to manually enter a puzzle. (The one I found that does that well and is both free and ad-free is Sudoku Joy--much better designed.) The "Hide timer" option is backwards. One selects "on" for it to be off! It should be "Show timer?" "Yes- no." The app also inserts its help page whenever you start a puzzle with no obvious way to vanquish it. Oh, well! What do I know? 3,000+ users love this, so if you want an MTV-style, Adobe Flash-type flashing display, go for it!! Those of you wanting a free, non-distracting, clean, powerful, and ad-free app--one that let's you enter puzzles manually-- should go for Sudoku Joy. (I have no connection with either company or it's developers..)

  • A delight!
Simple, but engaging! A brilliant design for a quick and easy, yet often challenging, word puzzle game. It's worth buying a few extra puzzles just to support the app developer's creativity! To the person who said they wanted to pay just one time--while I'm sympathetic, he or she should just buy the 4 or 5 available games and consider it hours of enjoyment for only $4 or $5. Much less than going out to the movies! You could even make your own popcorn! To the person who complained about knocking off the puzzles in one day-- well, develop some self-restraint, pace yourself, delay that instant gratification, spread the games out, savor the moments, and enjoy life more!

  • Potential, but sad really...
Plagued by visually distracting banner ads across the bottom of the screen and HUGE pop-up ads for other apps that take over the screen! Can't even try to make a puzzle out of a photo in the photo library, which is one of the cool features of the app. NOPE-- have to pay $2.99--so, you can't even test how well that would work. They should at least let you test it on a couple of photos. DELETED IT!
