Uplink

The gameplay is very fun, but there is an utter lack of a tutorial (I still can't figure out LAN networks) and the graphics are devastatingly poor. I wish introversion would update this.

The game is good it's a cool simulated but when I'm in tutorial 2 and then it randomly shut my game down so I had to restart it

A huge time sink, Very addicting gameplay. As close to hacking you can get without getting caught by the FBI.

So, yep. This game is TOTALLY worth the nine bucks you pay, and really, it should cost a lot more. This game, in my mind, is one of THE BEST simulators out there. Even if you're like, "video games are for nerds, m8," you should still get this game. It's one of the best games on the app store, and it's a great way to spend 9 dollars.

A great game to pick up and develop your inner hacker! Upon downloading, the anticipation of 'registering' as an Uplink(c) 'agent' was quite strong. The mysterious 'About us' page, the automated 'download' and 'installation' of the Uplink(c) OS, the thrill (or worry!) of escaping the trace at the last second... It all adds to the experience of hacking your way into the lives of the world. I have played the game about 20 times and I can assure you the replay value is very good because no two games are the same! As for suggestions in a future update... 1) More Gateway upgrade options! I have saved so much money time and time again to upgrade the important piece of the puzzle and I find the choices a tad limited... Perhaps adding the option to 'build' a custom gateway? (I.e adding a slot for a processor, adding a security mount, or even a cooling system to improve overall performance.) 2) Competition! Working as a hacker has its 'coworkers' too! Perhaps jobs can come and go as other hackers take work from you, even while in the middle of a job where you haven't been paid yet? 3) Bigger starting loan! Starting with three thousand credits is good for those who want a challenge, but could be a tad too small. Maybe three options for the loan? 4) The 'Informant' Not sure what the word is on if they are about to seize your gateway? Hire this mysterious entity to find out how much heat is on you! 5) The 'Eraser' Is there a pile of logs leading back to you? Hire this mysterious character and it will be like you never logged on! The game is good and is still open for more content! Keep it up, Introversion!
