HORRIBLE APP!!! HORRIBLE APP!!!Worse than before! NOW searches don’t work. I am SO VERY SORRY I ever started using this app. In its early days it was fine. I put several hundred docs. etc. into it, now I can’t even find them. This app must be developed by the designers of Obamacare - so now you know the extent to which this is useless! This developer keeps taking this app to the bottom of the app food chain!! After upgrading, again, MANY of the options don’t appear anymore or they have stopped working altogether. Folders, imports, views missing. Gee, I can’t believe anyone would even consider this app now! Since Together 2.x (which was fine) this has become almost comical (if it wasn’t so expensive). Read my last review below. Save your money, unless you have lots to waste. If its between this and a recipe box for your filing, go with the recipe box. ------------------------------------------------------ Last Review: Another “update” with nothing of significance addressed! The issues of the “mini info” section still taking up space in the middle of your screen, instead of being on the side where it was before 3.x.x still has not been fixed. The tags ALL disappearing and smart groups being lost is a problem. Also, the "last import” needs to go back to showing the last ten items instead of just one. This was a step backwards for usability! BUT, the current version review count has started over, again. This was probably an update to get rid of all the negative reviews. Just fix the application and you will get better reviews! ——————————————————————————————————————————————————— Second Review: After the update nothing is any better… perhaps the update was to just restart the review count??? Eh, makes you think…. ——————————————————————————————————————————————————— First Review: I had the old version of Together for a couple of years and it worked great. I could look at my data as I saw fit to look at it, and find it the way I wanted to find it. Then I paid $40 to upgrade, it had to be better right? It was an “upgrade”! Well, kiss that thought away… Reinvented Software had a better idea, I had to start liking things the way they wanted me to use them. And now I can’t even do that. Out of the ether a new problem of "failure to open library". I’ve shut down and re-started the MAC many times with no problems (other than the dislike of the changes made to Together 3). I did nothing different today. It has been a nightmare app ever since Together 3 came on to the scene. I have been able to use it - sorta’ - but the veiws I liked are gone, "the new items/last imports” link has been reconfigured to just one item, and the coup de gras… Today when I booted up my iMac, Together 3 says an error occurred and the Library can’t be opened. Great, now I’ve got $80 invested in this app and can’t get to my data. There is apparently no way to open ANY library now because no matter what I do the only option is to “QUIT”. My suggestion is to find something else, and quit having to pay for “UPGRADES”. It’s really disappointing to upgrade to something that loses your data and now won’t even start. Great job Reinvented Software - you reinvented a nightmare!!

Ilike it, although it still crashess Ilike it, although it still crashessJust installed this update, and launched the app and it crashed almost IMMEDIATELY. Don’t know if it has to do with this, but the item on top of the entries, which is selected by default to view in the main window, is a powerpoint presentation file. When the app launched the small circle started spinning, waiting for the powerpoint to show up (preview) then after a few seconds the app crashed. Please fix this persistent crashing issue; otherwise this is highly functional and useful and much needed application. Previous review: I used to have two great application that synced all my important information using the good old MobileMe, MacJournal and Yojimbo. With time, these apps stayed put, did not sync with iCloud, and had no significant improvements. I Have DayOne, which is one of the most reliable and outstnding app on the Mac and syncs flawlessly, but it laks some important functions, and could not replace MacJournal or Yojimbo. Then came NoteSuite, which was lso outstanding (you can dump any type of document on it) and synced flawlessly, but they had no iPhone app (only iPad), and they have not updated their app in a long time (and their blog page has been blank for months). I have been watching Together for a while because it seemed to offer all waht I need, and after reading the negative reviews for version 3.3 I waited until 3.3.1 and the iOS update came out and I bought them. The app still crashed when I first launced it on my work Mac (I had no previous installation), and the same happend when I first launched it on my home Mac (but not on the MacBook Pro), did not crash this morning when I launched it on my work Mac the first time, but crahed when I lunched it the second time. I hope the developer fixes this soon. I really like the user interface, the ability to have nested folders, tags, ratings, and nice navifgation controls, ability to store powerpoint, excel, word, pages, numbers, keynote, and PDF documents as well as images. It is the app that I have been waiting for, but I hope the developer fixeds the crashing issues soon

So much potential but almost unusable So much potential but almost unusableThis app is practically unusable.I love what this has the potential of doing but as is right now I have to give it two stars. This app really needs to be fixed / updated RIGHT NOW. In using it for about 45 minutes it crashed 4 times. You practically can’t do anything without it crashing. That’s pretty unacceptable to me for any app but especially a $50 app. This should not have been released like this. Please fix this ASAP.

Best of its kind Best of its kindThe best part about Together is that it is incredibly flexible. I’ve tried a lot of similar notetaking/information organising apps on the Mac (you probably know the ones), and Together is the only one I’ve encountered that allows you to organise any way you want, and with so much power. You can store notes in nested folders, or put them in “Groups” which are like playlists – one note can be in many groups at once. Then there are coloured labels, stars, and of course tags (which can be organised into their own groups). For me, this was the only app with the cababilities to replace a paper binder. I use it for university and research work, and also to store all the interesting articles and snippets of information I come across in my day. On top of all that, it is great looking and intuitive to use. The one catch at the moment is that the iCloud sync isn’t as fast as it could be, and can have a few hiccups. I know that the developer is working hard at ironing out what he can his end, and Apple is improving the sync service, so this should improve soon. However, I’m mainly using the app on my Mac so don’t notice it so much. Either way, for me the way I can store and organise my data is by far the most important, and in that respect Together is the best.
