Great! Great!I love being able to read stereo reviews from the people that put out such a great magazine!

What are some of these reviewers thinking? What are some of these reviewers thinking? This is a Stereophile app for recommended components, not the magazine itself. That's a different app! That said, this is a really cool tool to quickly find good products without having to do much research. It's like having a buyers guide with you at all times. Yes it does have ads, because it's free. The one reviewer complaining about Apple not checking it because it contains ads is BS. All iOS apps goes through the Apple approval process. Take some of the critical reviews with a grain of salt.

Adware AdwareDeveloper of Stereophile failed to notify customers prior to downloading of app that Stereophile displays ads. Folks, stay away from free apps if it,s not directly from apple. Who knows what these shady developers are doing with your personal info. Frankly any developer that fails to notify consumers of certain features contained in an app in regards to adware and privacy issue related matters are untrust worthy. Period!

Good price but flawed Good price but flawedIt is hard to argue with the price but frankly subscribers should be a bit irked that this is being given away. It is not an app that really uses the iPad power, rather it is just a reformatted magazine with out the benefit of landscape mode. Stereophile would be better served crafting a proper app that utilizes the iPad's capabilities a bit better and then giving it to subscribers and selling it to the general public.
