I accidentally clicked no on the continue adventure and was promptly brought to the screen with the little girl and the book. DONT DELETE YOUR GAME! All you have to do is wait for about 1-2 minutes, maybe even less. Once you wait the game resets and it gives you the intro and then the ability to open your save game.

Forever Awesome Forever AwesomeThis game is one of THE BEST I have ever played all time. It was ahead of a its time back in 1993, and I have never played a game better than Shining Force 1 or 2 ever since. I wish Sega would reproduce a new iOS series of Shining Force to bring back the ultimate quality of this classic and amazing game.
