Ehhh EhhhThis app doesn't teach a lot and doesn't have in-app purchases which is the deduction for the 2 stars. Honestly I was iffy about pimsleur and was not going to try it. I have Rosetta but haven't started and wanted an all audio. Did research, and actually compared lessons from different audio French things or whatever. Pimsleur is expensive as all hell, BUT, it's good. Idk. I'm disappointed in the price and not having in-app purchases but I actually learned to the point that the little that was taught on this app(the lesson, not the flash cards or travel guide thing) is instilled in my brain to the point that I'm repeating the phrases in my dreams. I need an alternative cuz the price is high but honestly so far, pimsleur is the best all audio teacher I've come across. I've compared at least 8. Michel, behind the wheel, and some others I can't remember. Still love Rosetta based on its trial but all audio, ugh, no in-app purchases. Wth!!

Effective? Effective? While pimsleur's approach to teaching french is an interesting one, this app comprises of one typical lesson (which teaches you one scenario), And some vocabulary for traveling. Perhaps just gettting pimsleurs whole program would be more useful.

Agree with other reviewer Agree with other reviewerThis is a good intro but the $4.99 price is too high. Given how apps are priced, $1.99 would be much more reasonable for this 30 minute intro.
