Great great great Great great greatStill the best, simplest, clearest, easiest to use app for playing music since Apple screwed up the Music App with the change to iOS 7. Once I had Picky I never touched the Music app again. The developer is a really nice guy and responds quickly to comments. Just get it.

Perfect marriage of old & new features Perfect marriage of old & new featuresPicky brings back some features that IOS 7 & 8 did away with in the built-in music app, plus it adds some great new tricks to filter and cue up songs. Also, I am very appreciative to Picky's creator for answering a couple of questions I had about the app. Totally worth your money in my opinion.

Why does this need data?? Why does this need data??I love Picky, I really do. But if the app gives me the option to turn off data usage (it does) then I should NOT be badgered to re-enable it every single time I use the app! Further, what does a music playing app need to use data for anyway? Why is data necessary to play my iTunes music from my LOCAL library which I synced using iTunes?? I've been a fan of this app for a while now, but I'm gladly moving on to a different app today because enough is enough of this data usage nonsense. The dev needs to either explain why data is necessary and be a bit more transparent with the app settings or start losing users who value their privacy one by one. The bottom line: No music playing app needs data if it's music coming from your synced iTunes library. End. Of. Story.

This is how Apple should've done it. This is how Apple should've done it.I loathe Apple's "re-imagined" music player in iOS 7/8. It's painful to use when you have more than a few dozen tracks saved on your device. But I love this app. To be blunt, Picky is the re-design Apple should've been able to come up with on its own. It retains the original artist -> album -> songs sorting that Apple completely threw out the window last year. This alone makes it near-perfect for people with large collections of music. You wouldn't have thought that would be so hard to do... but thanks to the developer for getting it right!
