Clumsy user interface Clumsy user interfaceThe app will go to text mode (no ads or pictures) if you tap the screen. That's nice, but it's too easy to trigger that. If you want to see the flow of the article, including accompanying graphs and side bars it's too easy to trigger the text-only mode.

Crashes CrashesPurchased the "Nov 25" edition and it crashes repeatedly. I cannot swipe more than a few pages without it crashing. As it stands, do not download the app or purchase the magazine. I contacted technical support and they are considering pulling the app until they can figure out the problem.

The best, worst and only option The best, worst and only optionThere's only one way to get NR's engaging, witty and thoughtful pieces delivered to your iOS device fortnightly, and this newsstand app is it. Unfortunately the app crashes at least once per visit. Better than hunting for the paper magazine, but not by much. Posting this review in the hope that NR will retool or refine the experience - the sooner the better.
