This app is a valuable tool if you are playing in competition, or just casually like I love to. When I want to get my hands on a card, research a card, compare prices, track trades, loans, or even build a data base for specific want lists, you can do it all with this app.

Amazing. Amazing.

I was keeping track of loans/borrows/wants in the Notes app. I was looking up prices in Safari. I was balancing out fair trades on paper. This app is so good and does everything I want. I resisted buying it for so long because I've never paid over 99 cents for an app. But the quality is worth it. I wish I had got it sooner.

Amazingly Good Amazingly Good

This app is even better than expected. I love being able to keep track of my trades and see whether I made or lost money in the long run. I also love the ability to create wish lists and see how much each card will cost. I wish that there was a separate collection manager because I am currently abusing the wish list feature to be my collection manager. I also wish there was a progress bar to show you when prices are bring loaded. The app freezes up as you're scrolling through a list of cards so it can load price data and doesn't offer any feedback until prices have finished loading, which is a jarring user experience. Can loading of prices not be done asynchronously to prevent the lockup? Finally, it is very difficult to find the exact basic land you want to add. I never was able to find a way to add the full art Zendikar lands to my trades. Overall I love this app and I use it every day. Keep up the good work.

Only reason the app didn't receive 5of5 stars was because of the cost and functionality of the search feature. This app's search feature leaves much to be desired, for example, if you don't know the set it came from or one word in the card's title you won't be able to find it easily. Other (free) apps allow you to search for key words in the text of a card, incredibly useful when brewing new decks etc.

Description

MTG Trades gives you the tools you need for trading Magic cards, right at your fingertips, on your iPhone or iPad. It includes card prices by expansion or card name, lets you store a watchlist of wanted cards, allows you to track cards you have loaned or borrowed, and even calculate the value of a trade and view your trade history.
