Misses the boat Misses the boatI guess I didn't quite understand that this was based on a work that was originally published in 1867. It would probably be useful as a historical reference, but not for a landlubber like meself just trying to learn a thing or two about nautical terms. The language used in the definitions tended to be too difficult. No cross-reference feature. Interface can involve a lot of scrolling to find words that are in the middle of an alphabet letter. Some definitions seem rushed in their presentation. Lacking a definition entry for "port side".

Modernize contents Modernize contentsFirst, this app is taken from a19th century work and the definitions reflect this. The terminology is archaic (Thither?). I had to refer to other definitions to understand the initial word. Next, how about including modern definitions of the words, such as Squid and Stack, and include newer terms like Captain's Mast. All-in-all, a piece of nautical history and a time capsule in maritime lingo that would benefit from some work by the creators instead of using a previously published work verbatim.
