Best music app ever Best music app everThis app is amazing. I newer thought that there could ever be app that could record and transpose a instrument so well. Thank you!!!!!!!!!! Also: Dear Farnell Computer Services Ltd, I use and love Magic Stave Midi Recorder, and would love to see Audiobus support added to it. Audiobus (http://audiob.us) provides a free and easy to integrate SDK for developers, and allows participating apps to send live audio to each other. I think Magic Stave Midi Recorder could really benefit from being a part of the Audiobus community. Many thanks.

confusing confusingnot sure this app works at all. directions are confusing and i do not believe this works as advertised. wanted it for ukulele since there is not much sheet music available. I cant get it to work at all. I would be happy to retract this if we can get this to work or provide some education.

Terrible TerribleI got this app to help me write music when I had a melody. This is probably one of the most confusing apps I've ever used, and does a very bad job of finding the correct notes. It also ignores double notes, even if you rest between them. It's one of the worst apps I've ever had to experience using.

My Dream App My Dream AppEver since I was a youngster learning music, I dreamed of an app that would allow me to hum or sing a melody and immediately show me the notes. That dream has come true with Magic Stave. If you have a modicum of ability to sing on key, you can use this app to figure out any melody you imagine. I have fairly decent relative pitch from many years of playing music, but sometimes I just cannot figure out an interval by ear. Magic Stave to the rescue! If I can sing it on key, Magic Stave can tell me exactly what note I’m singing and I can figure out the interval from there. It can display the note position on various instruments, including guitar, AND show you the actual note name on the stave (A C note will actually appear as the letter “C”). This is fantastic for dummy, self-taught rock guitar players like me who only have very basic music reading ability. As an added bonus, Magic Stave can now immediately PLAY that melody with one of several instruments along with outputting the MIDI file. You don’t have to wait to import the MIDI file to a DAW anymore (although importing the MIDI file is also a FANTASTIC feature). All around an awesome app! I’d buy this app 10 more times if I could. It’s THAT good to me.

Violin, and high notes Violin, and high notesWould you provide an option for fingering 'tapes' for violin? It would show whether the note is correct, or between tones. I think traditional is whole step, whole step, half step, whole step (4th finger); whole step, whole step, whole step, half step ( for the higher positions). Magic Stave seems to have some trouble detecting notes above high E (in the octave above middle C). Is this just a limitation of the microphone?
