Impressive and very complete Impressive and very completeI have been teaching for nearly twenty years and I have seen nothing as effective at supplementing math education outside of school as this app. Many parents of my students have been telling me about KidCalc for a while and after using it in my classroom I now know why they love this app so much. My students don't want to put it down, and they are learning a lot from it. I have incorporated it into my curriculum and am seeing clear improvement in math skills, both in children who are not naturally inclined toward math as well as children who are already strong in math. This app has an impressive, complete, and engaging set of math lessons for kids pre-K through perhaps 3rd grade. My only criticism was that the voice-overs could stand to be improved a little. This app's most recent update did just that. This app has a history of regular improvements, and this recent update makes a great app even better. This publisher's other app, 123 color, is similarly impressive, probably even better at holding my students' attention. I saw it was the #1 education app for the iPad two weeks ago, and I know it was also the #1 education app for the iPhone last month. Excellent work this publisher does.

Does not honor silent mode Does not honor silent modeThis app makes the big mistake to make all it's noises despite the phones silent switch. This is a Major fail of following standards. Cannot be used in quiet environments, even if volume is turned all the way down.

Not sure why a number one download Not sure why a number one downloadWas disappointed with this product. Firstly when my daughter when out of the app and back in it lost all the settings we had changed so I had to do it again, so no good for her to just select game herself when she plays. Also games were much poorer designed than other maths ones she has, for example the number tracing accepts her just colouring the numbers it doesn't force her to trace correctly as others do.

My 4-year-old can count by 5 thanks to Kid Calc My 4-year-old can count by 5 thanks to Kid CalcMy daughter was playing with my phone and before you know it, she was counting by 5s thanks to Kid Calc. I just went on the Kindergarden tour and you are supposed to learn how to count by 5s in K. She will be ahead and that much confident. And she will have more free time to play.

nice app - poorly chosen icon nice app - poorly chosen iconmy twin toddlers love this app & i love that. however, they rarely play with it because, as my description states, the icon provides ZERO correlation to the app. children are visual ~ and your app seems to understand that ...with one glaring error. what does a cupcake have to do with a math app? change that and ill change my review... and buy the full app.
