Far from perfect Far from perfectApproach plates, load slow. Problems with accessing saved flight plans. The app will not respond when attempting to load flight plans. Works okay with iOS 8. The remainder of the features work well.

Zero Stars Zero StarsThe app crashes on launch, repeatedly. Takes two or three attempts to get it to work on an iPad 2. I was hopeful like the other poster that this latest update would solve the issues with iOS 8 - but as near as I can tell, it's done nothing to resolve the most obvious flaws. "Resuming Flight Deck" takes forever like it did before. Recently going into TEB the whole app completely locked up at the worst time (they switched runways on us). Anyone that goes in there on a regular basis knows what a cluster that can be when the weather deteriorates. My FO prefers ForeFlight so he happened to have it up on his personal iPad, which saved us. I had to submit (yet another) internal Occurrence Report for our SMS system because ForeFlight isn't approved in our OpsSpecs (but I imagine it will be soon if Jepp doesn't get their act together and stop releasing garbage.) EDIT: Spoke to technical support at Jepp, and their claiming the iPad 2 doesn't have enough memory and that we need to upgrade our iPads. 30 planes x 2 iPads per plane - that's not going to happen anytime soon. More likely we're going to switch to ForeFlight which works just fine on the iPad 2. It's absurd that they're suggesting the iPad 2 is no longer capable since Jepp Mobile FD was actually quite descent when it was initially released. Not perfect, but at least it was useable. And in reality, the only thing this is, is an e-reader. It's pretty obvious is problem is not the iPad 2, but rookie, shoddy, sub-par programming by the app developers.

Still not working on iOS 8 -- Zero Stars Still not working on iOS 8 -- Zero StarsThe latest update claims improvements in compatibility with iOS 8. It still won't update charts or manuals, even after resetting and uninstalling the app, then reinstalling. It updates enroute data but the app forces you to stay on the update screen. It has zero practical functionality.

Zero stars Zero starsJeppesen should just go back to making paper charts since they can't make a computer program that works on ANY platform! Please make sure you have days available for each update since you'll have to delete the app, reinstall it, then download all the data again, every time......
