HOW IT WORKS:
A typical scenario would be a foreman synchronizing their tasks at the start of the shift, loading their day’s work onto their device along with any reference documents. The foreman securely logs in and can quickly complete a pre-job form or a tool box talk, capturing signatures of all attendees. All data captured is date, time and GPS-stamped as to where and when the activity occurred. Throughout the day, the foreman completes tasks either while connected or in ‘offline’ mode. When a wireless spot is available, the foreman synchs back all their completed and in-progress tasks to the server, updating daily progress reports and creating PDF documentation of the work for their records.
At the end of the day, the foreman can track the crew’s progress against key metrics and the number of hours each crewman worked. When the daily progress form is synched back with the server, the earned value reports are updated and timesheet information is submitted.
