App works about as we'll as the server software. 0 stars. No reliability, no support as they retired the product line. HP will not get another penny from me.

Terrible Terrible

I wish I could give minus 5. HP HomeMediaServer is NOT OSX friendly. They advertise it as Mac compatible without telling you, up front that you have to perform setup on a PC! Even after borrowing one for that, the pitiful preference pane they provide for Mac is useless, will not connect and there's no way to reach the control panel without a PC. In other words NOT Mac compatible. This app is more of the same, can't find the server although it's right there under my Mac's sharing window. The worst part is that the hardware is good. I've had it for years and it chugs away but all I can do is mount it as a file share, no web access, no streaming to ipad or iphone, nothing because of horrible Windows software used EXCLUSIVELY. No Mac version and apparently none intended. What I resent is that they're not honest about it.

dank smb und/oder upnp lassen sich alle medien (bilder, video & musik) aus dem vom benutzer festgelegten verzeichnis des homeservers problemlos streamen. vorausetzung für diese app ist selbstverständlich ein whs von hp sowie ein wifi-fähiges idevice. netzwerk-kenntnisse sind von vorteil aber nicht zwingend erforderlich. wer von dieser "materie" keine ahnung oder interesse hat, sollte die finger von dieser app lassen - anstatt sie schlecht zu bewerten! läuft 5/5 ?mit folgender konstelation: •HP Data Vault x510 (windows) •iPhone 4S & 4 (seit iOS 4.3.3 stabil)
