Unusable UnusableI've be trying to use this app off and on for over a year. Trying every time an update is released. I rent cars from Hertz frequently - Gold, President Circle, etc.... The app should make reserving a car easier. Unfortunately, I have never been able to make a single reservation with this app.

The worst!!! The worst!!!Use Car2go, or Zip car when in DC instead. Hertz is useless.

First bad experience... First bad experience...Firstly, I would like to thank the Supervisor on duty [Nigel] for taking over the call during my maintenance issues yesterday during my rental. Also, the representative by the name of [April] was the last person I spoke to before my vehicle finally started. That being said- I would like to say my rental experience yesterday was very stressful. I picked up the FIAT at 11:15am, and the car had a little over 1/4 tank. I drove it to Woodbury Commons mall- then to IKEA in Paramus, NJ... Before I parked the car the gas light had just begun to illuminate....this was at about 5:10pm.... After exiting IKEA and preparing to leave the parking structure the car failed to start. At appromiately 6:45pm I called #Hertz24 to inform I was having car troubles. The first agent that assisted me was kind, but was unable to offer any real solutions. At one point I was told that I "should have got gas when I picked up the car" and at another point advised me to take a cab home, and would only be reimbursed up to $50 for a cab- and I would still be charged for the rental until the car was picked up. ( I'm assuming by a tow truck) And after running several checks on her end, she came to the conclusion that the cars gas tank was empty, and that was not the fault of "HERTZ24"...... Of course this response was unacceptable to me. After speaking to the supervisor Nigel, he informed me that their records showed the gas tank at 10% full.... Which is certainly enough fuel to transport me to the closest fueling station..However, there was no clear reason why the car would not start. Nigel put out a fuel call, and about 1 hour later a tow truck brought 2 gallons of fuel. THIS DID NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE! Finally, after speaking to April almost 2hrs after my initial call, and I'm assuming she [reset the vehicle computer] ? The car finally started! There is clearly an issue with the vehicle that neither myself, nor your representatives were able to figure out. I was happy that the car finally started and I was able to drive home. However- as a customer who rents from you quite often I am disapponted that I was NEVER contacted afterwards to ensure everything was "OKAY" nor was I offered any compensation for being inconvenienced. I've received my bill for a 24hr rental, and as if nothing ever happened. As a consumer- and also as a Manager myself- who deals with clients that expect quality care, I am very disappointed how this issue was resolved. Will I still rent with "HERTZ24"? Yes- I will. Up until yesterday my experiences with the company have been favorable. But I do implore to whom ever is in charge of continually providing consumers with an above average rental experience to review what happened to me yesterday, and to make certain it doesn't happen to another HERTZ customer. #232268

Stupid StupidWhen you get gas you need your member ID but it appears nowhere in the app. When I called from the car the customer service suggested I should have memorized my ID. Stupid.
