THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!While this is not a recovery app, it was able to find some .tmp files on the Mac for a 56-page document I had lost! I was able to convert them to a Word document, and I have the full file recovered! I am so relieved….so much so that I bought the app just to say thanks! I will definitely be using this again...

Solved Search Problems with Time Machine Disks Solved Search Problems with Time Machine DisksI needed to find a tool to search Time Machine Disks. My Spotlight would not allow the configuration. I downloaded this tool and it immediately found all the external drive Time Machine Disk files that I was previously unable to find. The program did exactly what I expected it to do. It just worked.

Much much better than the Apple OSX search Much much better than the Apple OSX searchFind any file is worth much more than the tiny $7.99 App store cost. My agency has been struggling more and more with each OSX update when searching through our 20 plus years worth of Mac digital archives. Mac used to have such a intuitive search, not so much anymore. Anyway, FAF is great and I applaud the developer for designing such a great search utility!

Awesome! Awesome!Long story short, I replaced the optical drive on my MacBook Pro with an SSD so now I have to drives. I keep my OS, home folder and apps on my SSD and all my music on the original HDD (I use my laptop for DJing). I won’t go into detail but basically the dual drive setup meant that moving a file from the HDD to the Trash would take forever and I’d get the “preparing to move to trash pop-window for like 1 minute and the CPU would go into the red because Spotlight doesn’t handle re-indexing outside of the boot drive very well. The only option to prevent this hang was to tell Spotlight to ignore the HDD where all my music was stored, but unfortunately that also meant I was unable to search for music files in Spotlight. Find Any File is the perfect solution for my situation - I can now find the files on my HDD and still have Spotlight ignore my HDD and all the CPU hogging problems associated with it! By the way, I think I read something somewhere about Find Any File “finding files pretty fast” which made me think that was just another way of saying “kinda slow”, but I find it’s super fast (on my system at least). This app is well worth the $7.99 I paid for it :)
