Great flash cards Great flash cardsReally great app for basic flash cards. I am an Australian living in Berlin trying to learn the local lingo. Having already tried all the other techniques, apps, etc looking for the shortcut I have had to accept that basic flash cards are the best learning solution (for me...). This app has a great database for an A1 level app, but most importantly covers all the important words any A1 Deutsch course will teach. One of its best functions is that it will 'play' upto 100 flash cards at a time, including a recorded voice saying both the English and German versions out loud. Besides the obvious benefit of learning correct pronunciation, I have found that playing this while at home doing things, riding the bus, falling asleep, etc really helps to memorize them. It also means I can fit in extra 'study' where I normally could not. The only fault I can find in it is that the 'play' function stops when the iPhone goes into sleep mode. A minor fault as you can go into settings and change the sleepier to never (whilst using the app). The 5 bucks spent on the full vokab was well worth the money spent (after testing the trial versions). Highly recommended!
