How does Alpify work?
Alpify is free: all you have to do is download the application to your smartphone and connect it when you are in an area which has this system. At present it is available for Courchevel, Grandvalira and Las Leñas ski stations, in the Principality of Andorra and in Basque Country.
In the event of an emergency, the rescue team can find you provided that you have connected the application in an area where there is service.
If you are hurt or lost, you only have to click on the emergency button in order to send an alert to the rescue team.
If you are incapacitated and you cannot send an emergency signal, the rescue teams from the areas equipped with this system can find you.
If you have the application turned on, although you are lost, your battery runs out or you go outside the service area of Alpify, the rescue team can use the information stored in the system to know where you were going in the last few hours and work out where you are.
Also:
· Depending on the Alpify area where you are, you will receive the most important telephone numbers for an emergency situation.
· The rescue team can send you messages about safety, provided you are in the Alpify service area. You can also receive messages on the weather, damage to the ski lifts and other messages concerned with safety. Never advertisements.
