I decided to create Alimentor when I was preparing for court. My lawyer asked me to sort and organize my evidence, and then to produce multiple tables and charts in order to help persuade the court to rule in my favor. I realized how difficult and time consuming it was to collect and explain all those facts and numbers using only a spreadsheet and my notes.
So I created a dedicated mobile app for divorced parents that makes it very easy to document parenting efforts. The initial design has been improved over time and now Alimentor has a new cool feature, the one that I like the most: it can produce monthly reports that aim at keeping the other parent updated on a regular basis, rather than waiting for the crisis that leads to mediation or court :-)
The app is private and you control all data entered, as well as who sees the information.
